On arrival at Marrakesh airport there was the usual 10mile queue to clear immigration, people with children were short cut to the front and anyone with a Moroccan passport was greeted with ‘salam’ which was nice. Neither of us got asked any questions by the stereotypically grumpy gentlemen behind the desk and we were off to find our luggage which was already on the carrousel.we also needed to exchange some money as there is a limit to what you can bring into the country..... we ended up with a card and 1000dh which is about £200..... we are all inclusive so hopefully that should be enough for my shopping in the souks!!!
We were met by a Rui rep who directed us to a taxi man.... he was very round and jolly, attempted to spk broken French to us but I was a little rusty... I got the gist.... I think???

On arrival at the hotel We were Greeted by a lovely lady who told us to abandon our luggage and go for dinner as it stopped at 9pm and we could check in after we had filled our tummies. We looked like such scrufians in dinner in our jeans and hoodies but we weren’t the worst! Due to all our money and passports being in our bags, we took them
With us as we walked around the buffet, to which a disturbed looking gentleman asked if we were leaving.... he told us he would watch our bags whilst we ate!! Cous cous, cinnamon caramelised onions and lemon chicken taking later we were full, with extra room in the desert stomach for some little cakes mainly filled with nuts. Vino was also included.... happy days.

After check in we were escorted to our room and the guy didn’t even look like her was after a tip, he just walked out the room.... we were very relieved as we only had the equiv of £20 notes on us!!!

The room is lovely, views over the resort with a tower in the background. Although dark, still pretty. Unusually for us we can unpack as we are not moving around so everything found a place and it was pretty much bed time by then!!
