Big drive today through Perth (should say bypassing!) to Busselton in the South West Capes region... Margaret River country! Based ourselves at Busselton which is in Geographe Bay.. great lil town. First on the agenda was to briskly walk to the end of the longest jetty evs.. a bit windy n showery but wasn't too bad Then drove west to Dunsborough and Cape Naturaliste to check out the views of the bay. Next stop was lunch at Eagle Bay brewery.. so full after our platter boards and beer tasting! And then quick sip n taste at Flametree winery. I'd had a bubbles at the brewery and didn't want to lose my buzz !!! ! Next day was a late start and we took a drive to Yallingup beaches and spectacular Canal Rock. Then on to Margaret River town for lunch and a wander around the Main Street. This place was nothing I had imagined.. it's a one street town with the wineries and beaches miles away ! Sorta glad we stayed at Busselton ! Next day we did a winery tour around Margy River which jncluded 5 wineries (Mongrels, Happs, Black Brewing n gin, Credaro and Aravina and Clairault and finished at a chocolate house) Might have had a snooze on way home! We were wined out and cheesed out and had awesome day !
Only 2 kms to go !
Nice day for a jetty walk.. just a wee bit of windy n showery !
Longest timber jetty in Southern Hemisphere
Tasting plate of beers 🍻 the second one "delivers a sessionable brew with subtle biscuit notes" .. no wonder Stevie liked it !!
Nice Shiraz at Flametree winery 🍷
Canal Rock near Yallingup.. such a top spot.
Massive waves smashing into the rocks!
