Back into gold rush country ! Staying at park for four nights as so much to do ! First things first .. arrived in the arvy and had the best massages yet.. so needed it after sitting in a car for ages ! (Stevie was asked to "relax your buttocks" !!)
Next day we rode pushies to Hannan North Tourist Mine.. well started and halfway there Steve got yet another puncture.. so rossie to the rescue again .. pedalled my little legs out, got car and we were on our way! Hannan Mine was great showing how they mined back in the day.. on display was the massivest haul truck n scooper that they use now.. n stevie was in his element panning .. he only got a few crumbs ! Afternoon spent at Questa Casa which is one of the worlds oldest working brothels! Touring !!! We met the madam and went through the rooms (a bit manky) and learnt the ropes .. it was sooo interesting.. luvd it..It's quiet now but back in the heyday , Hay street was the place to go ! Had drinkies in Hannan street at York hotel,The Lot and the Exchange. Last one was a skimpys bar where the gals are in lingerie.. very popular in Kal ! Next day we were up early for a gold prospecting tour. Drove to Bulong on a private lease site and spent the day searching for nuggies. We had the latest metal detectors! When it beeps you use your pick n shovel to sort thru the pile. We found .7 grams .. two little ones and a lot of tin and nails !! Fun tho. We were so nakkered and aching we crashed n burned that night! Next day up early again for a tour of Super Pit. This place is so stupidly big and we got to see all the behind the scene workings .. it truly is an amazing place! 24 hours nonstop of digging for that gold ! Lunch at Montys to fill up before Cowboys final 🤠 Watched game in Boulder at The Rec bar and had great night! Stayed 4 nights in Kal and we really enjoyed this spot !
