Late start this morning stayed the night at Kulgera Pub. It was cold this morning was the first morning I've needed one of the extra blankets we brought. Made some new friends an Irish lady and her son Ark and Aussie husband and a heap of grey nomads. People had some stuff gone thru last night again.

On the road Saw about 30 eagles this morning Daniel saw a dingo. And we saw our first kangaroo road kill this morning Which we were oddly excited to see first road kill In about a week that wasn't a cow.

Hoping the Oodnadatta Track bring some more wild life as most of what we have seen has. Wen birds.

Been a good trip along the track so far the landscape changes so much. All the river beds are totally dry. Seen a few Eagles. Got to Oodnadatta Pink roadhouse (very famous). Checked out the undercarriage and stones had peppered the underneath. One of the rubber mud style flaps on the van worked but should have put a second row on. The wire for the electric brakes had snapped on one of the four wheels. Got some clips with the hopes of joining them when we got to our destination.

About 20km out of town we decided best to attach the second row of rubber flap to the van to ensure we didn't do any major damage. An hour later we were on the rd got to our destination about 5:30 (Algebuckina). Glad there is someone else here and it's off the road a bit too. Just as we pulled over we saw a first 2 Emus just next to the rd. first in a week. Saw a few more after that.

After a long day on the road Algebuckina you have surprised us. We wouldn't have known to stop here had some grey nomads had not recommended you. Just beautiful.

Opened up the van thought we weren't to bad with dust getting in Until I opened the front bed We forgot to tape the front hatches After a brush and wet wipe it was pretty good. Lesson learnt.
