We arrived at Belize City Airport and picked up our 4x4 Jeep and proceeded on the Northern highway to Corozal. The road was really quiet with very few cars but quite a lot of trucks carrying the recently cut sugar cane. We took an interesting local route through Orange Walk town. Because of Belize"s British heritage, English signs, names and information are common.

After a couple of hours we arrive at our sea front Inn and check in. We learn from Angie that the owners are away so she and Joe will be looking after us. Joe tells us about the local area. He also told us that most children are taught English as their first language, but they also learn Spanish.

We go for a wander around the Town and along the seafront, buy some water, and enjoy the sunshine!
