After a flight from Belize to El Salvador and an onward flight to San Jose,we arrived at the Country Inn and Suites, Radisson Hotel at about 11 pm last evening. From the plane we saw the sun set over El Salvador at about 20,000 ft above sea level!

First day in Costa Rica. We collected the rental car and drove to Zarcola. The church and the topiary in the church grounds was amazing. The scenery was lovely particularly the trees with orange blossom in the Naranjo (Orange) region. We enjoyed a brief visit to El Silencio Lodge for lunch. It is in the rain forest area and, predictably, the clouds came down and it poured with rain, but it was still very beautiful.
