We took the early ferry from Pointe a Pitre, Guadeloupe to Roseau Dominica. Picked up the rental car in Roseau and set off up the western, Caribbean coast towards Portsmouth and then onwards to Calibishie and our Guest House, Veranda View. The drive was wonderful as the scenery is stunning- certainly one of the prettiest islands we have ever been to! When we got to the top of the mountain the clouds were right down and it poured with rain! On arrival at Veranda View it was bright and sunny!
