Arrived in Zurich bright and early (neither us or the day). Got to Lucerne about 8am after about 23 hrs. Weather is not too bad. Hotel is OK and staff very nice. Hotel is a historical building complete with creaking floors and stairways. What we learnt so far about Lucerne, clean busy city, lake is beautiful, best pretzels and every street has about 3 bakeries/ Chocolatiers with amazing fare on offer.
All fed and in bed by 5.30pm as the day travelling had exhausted us.
Today we are off to Pilatus in the Alps. Go by boat, cog railway, air godala etc. Predicting a top temp of 4 degs. Just a note, Etihad airlines - average (prefer Emirates). Abu dhabi airport - was a nightmare as far as the efficiency in comparison to Dubai.
