Enroute to Charters Towers, we stopped at Prairie Hotel.. what a great pub .. this would have been a great overnight stop but our timing was out. Instead we had a couple drinks, the best outback curry pie and lotsa chat with the owners.
Had a couple days at Charters Towers. Ho hum .. it was a great old gold rush town with its own stock exchange back in the day. Did a ghost tour on second night. Heard all the ghost stories and murders of some of the characters of the town!
Checked out a couple of the pubs too.
