First stop on our roadtrip was the Oliwa zoo in Gdansk which was about a 20 min drive or so from Gdansk railway. We arrived at opening time 09.00. I wanted to check this place out, but i was also very unsure. I read on Tripadvisor that there is a lot of animal cruelty here, and i was devastated when i found out that it was 1 we both saw many of the animals who were miserable and caged in to small areas and cages. It should not be legal. We even saw animals that were scared of the staff which is a huge red flag. We went fast through the zoo but the zoo is big so we used 3 hours to see everything. Please if you read this do not support this place and skip going here it is heartbreaking.
