**Day 2**
We left Venice at 7:15 am after a quick bite to eat. Breakfast was a typical continental spread, featuring sweet pastries, cold meat selections, a wide variety of bread, yogurt, and a delicious, finger-licking Nutella or custard filled croisants.
I was glad to leave our Venice hotel as it was very small and very dated to say the least. When I first stepped into the bathroom, my initial impression was, "Where is the other half of the bathroom?"
Once we were on the bus, about an hour into the journey, the picturesque landscape transformed from fields to mountains, and it only got better from there. The flat plains of northern Italy gradually gave way to the towering peaks of the Austrian Alps.
The scenery was breathtaking as we wound our way through the mountain passes. Snow-capped peaks rose majestically against a clear blue sky, dotted with quaint villages nestled in the valleys.
We stopped for a quick break and I noticed xxxl size of the produce (see pic).
The transition from the serene Italian countryside to the dramatic, awe-inspiring beauty of the Austrian Alps was truly a highlight of our journey. The contrast in scenery added a sense of adventure and excitement, making this leg of our trip unforgettable. We arrived in small Austrian town Innsbruck at around 1 pm.
