LONG travel day today. I’m not looking forward to it. I had to get a motorbike to the port with my big backpack on my back and then get a ferry to the mainland, then two bus’s and a few cabs. And I have the annoying 19 year old in tow who doesn’t shut up.
We got a private bus with six others and it was only 11 pound and took us the whole way, stopped for lunch for us which was better than a public bus as it would’ve been long. Still only got to the hostel at
Also had my first jolibee! Was nice.
Got to the hostel about 4pm and have a Swedish girl in the bunk above me. I’m still attracting all the scandis! I can’t complain I get on so well with them all? Maybe I’m scandi deep down ahah I went to get some jewellery made with Agnes (the Swedish girl) and got an anklet made as I lost mine! We then went to a food market, got some cocktails as they was 241 and went to a karaoke bar. It’s a really big thing here and I didn’t realise and also, they Philippinos are amazing singers?? Like all of them? One sang the song from the greatest showman and I got goosebumps he blew me away! I sang the little mermaid :)
There was some English blokes in the karaoke bar and reconfirmed I don’t like them. They pushed in front of me and didn’t even acknowledge me or say sorry, just rude. Agnes and I also sat with some locals for a bit where we got a drink from. Was random, but learnt that their language has a lot of layover with Spanish, probs coz they was colonised by the Spanish!
Also a lot of ladyboys here which I didn’t expect. All in all a good day and learnt a lot!
Ankle is still swollen and tbf my other foot is also still swollen as o think it’s still draining from my shin as it’s still sensitive. Basically have two elephant feet so I can’t do the falls or canyoneering which is a shame! But these things happen. I can always come back here tbf.
