Today was my second worst travel day of the trip 🫠 luckily I also had cool people to travel with today. So a speed boat overturned yesterday and some people died so no speed boats could cross. Had to wait an hour to get a normal boat to mainland which wasn’t bad as k got talking to this German guy who was also doing the same trip. He was so chatty and lovely! He just finished training to be a doctor so this was his celebration trip. Luckily we could talk alot so we passed the time but we had to wait another two hours for our transfer to the other pier once we got to Lombok (which in hindsight we could’ve done ourselves quicker and cheaper) then we had to wait 5 hours on the sun like sardines to get a ferry. I’m not claustrophobic but I was getting there and also felt like I could have fainted. When we finally got on the ferry. I found a section with bunkbeds so we grabbed though with two Spanish girls so was going the same was as rico (German). Played some cards to pass the time which helped but we still didn’t depart until about half 8. Toilets were awful though. No toilet paper and so I had to use plaster packages to wipe and it stunk and no flush. Fucking Gil co felt so dirty I just wanted a shower! We started travelling at 8:30am and also hadn’t had a proper meal all day. So we get to Bali at midnight (finally) then it takes an hour and a half ish to accommodation.
