Tenerife is an island renowned as both a holiday destination and an athlete's training ground. So I invited a few members of my cycling club and we all travelled to the Canary Islands for a couple of weeks ;D.

I surprised them by booking to partake in a Volcano Tour tenerifebiketraining.com/ which consisted of a week long adventure. The extremes of temperature, altitude, climate and terrain created the perfect training environment. Many professionals praise the island for it's tauntingly difficult conditions as they really push a person to their physical limits.
