Greece
(The Doilones)
Ahh. Doilones was a bit of a downer. Actually, it was more of a disaster. I don’t even know where to begin. We sailed through Hellespont to reach the island, where we met the king of the land, Cyzicus. He was a remarkable guy, and myself and the crew quickly became mates with him. After dinner together, we set out again, and in the near distance we spotted a mountain. For a bit of banter, we decided to climb it. It was pretty high, but I was on the climbing team at school so I like to think I was the best out of all the men. Heracles stayed behind, and fortunately so, as a tribe of Pirates attacked our ship! Heracles shot as many as he could, but we had to come back to finish off the rest of them. Crisis averted. But not for long. Later that night, we got caught up in a storm and were blown totally off course. The Dodona was making crazy beeps and flashes, and this was where it really started going downhill. We landed on some random island, and its inhabitants began to attack us. Naturally, we had to fight back. But, about halfway through the battle we made a shocking discovery. We’d been blown back to the Doilones, and had accidentally killed king Cyzicus!!!! Far out. I couldn’t believe we’d made that mistake! His poor wife was so distraught she ended up killing herself. Honestly, I feel so bad. I should probably ring up Daddy and get him to have his best lawyers on standby, just in case they try to blame us. We did try to put things right by holding a “funeral games” for Cyzicus but I really don’t think that it consoled the islanders very much.
