( Overview
/ Berlin
This is the Berliner Dom, or Berlin Cathedral which is the short name for the Evangelical Supreme Parish and Collegiate Church (German: Oberpfarr- und Domkirche zu Berlin). This building, I think the 4th on this site, was completed in 1905.
Tuesday 27th - Day 3
It's day 1 of the conference so Mandy's engaged and I'm by myself on day 3.
I walk via the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe and on to Brandeburg Gate. You can see a couple photos from earlier. After coffee/breakfast from Amplemann I continue East to Museuminsel (Museum Island).

Museum Island
Museum Island (German: Museumsinsel) is the name of the northern half of an island in the Spree river in the central Mitte district of Berlin, Germany. It is so called for the complex of five internationally significant museums, that occupy the island's northern part:
The Altes Museum (Old Museum), The Neues Museum (New Museum), The Alte Nationalgalerie (Old National Gallery), The Bode Museum, and The Pergamon Museum

Lustgarten
The Lustgarten (Pleasure Garden) is a park near the site of the former Berliner Stadtschloss (Berlin City Palace) of which it was originally a part. At various times in its history, the park has been used as a parade ground, a place for mass rallies and a public park.

This is the Altes Museum (German for Old Museum). It houses the Antikensammlung (antiquities collection) of the Berlin State Museums and sits beside the Berliner Dom on two sides of the Lustgarten.
A panorama of the Lustgarten. The Lustgarten is bounded also by the Kupfergraben, a canal off the Spree and the slowly being rebuilt Berlin City Palace (German: Berliner Stadtschloss). A royal and imperial palace in the centre of Berlin, the historical capital of Prussia, and subsequently Germany. It was the winter residence of the Kings of Prussia and the German Emperors. In 2013 work started on reconstruction and a part of the exterior of the palace has been rebuilt. The completion is expected in 2019.
I thought this was awesome.
Prometheus Bound and the Oceanids (German:Prometheus, beklagt von den Okeaniden) is an 1879 marble sculpture by German sculptor Eduard Müller.
Lunch was behind the Berliner Dom and no longer on Museuminsel.
This is photo of the lunch and location-not the girls!!😈
Lunch was a Berlin classic-currywurst.
Leaving lunch and crossing to hear home I discovered a great view of the Berliner Fernsehturm, Berlin's television tower.
