Marrakech

Morocco, 19. December 2017
Day 11 - As we were in the mountains for just over a week, both myself and Leanne were, let's say skanky and didn't shower regularly and in my case shaved! I thought I deserved a little pampering and I would find a little barbers and treat myself to a proper shave! My face has never felt cleaner it was awesome and well worth the 25 dirham I paid for it. It wasn't quite relaxing as I'm not a fan of people touching my neck at the best of times, let alone having a stranger put a very sharp blade next to it. But I really enjoyed and I would definitely have one again, especially now I won't need to worry about it getting to long for Christmas! We walked around some different streets just looking around and decided to have a big lunch and a small dinner in Marrakech (which didn't turn out to be a small dinner did it Leanne 😉). Our bus departed Essaouria at 3pm which would get us to Marrakech at about 6ish, we didn't got all out this time so had to settle for normal seats and no wifi, I didn't mind as I just slept! When back in Marrakech we had to find our Riad, this one was much easier than our last one and was situated only a couple hundred metres away from the Djeema El Fna square which was handy for us as we wanted to just dump our bags and go for an explore because the main square comes alive at nighttime with lots of food stalls, entertainment etc etc. Once settled in the room we set out straight into the heart of it trying to find some cheap food. Wow! Is all I can say, the first place we saw we were sat down eating there, it was absolutely mad place! They just shoved a menu in my face and told us to sit down and the man was saying stuff like 'this is my family' and then all the other men would start singing, dancing and clapping. I really enjoyed the experience and food was actually really tasty. They got Leanne up and she ended up choosing dinner for us, she seems to have expensive taste when it comes to food as this meal ended up being by far the most expensive meal we would have in Morocco! She felt bad and I keep milking it as well 😉
