Day 12 - 6/2/18 Travel to Bagan, Myanmar
Travelled by boat from Mandalay to Bagan we used Alliance River Cruise Co. (Cost about €42 Each). We left at 6.30 so collected from our hotel at 5.45 and caught taxi to the port. The day on the boat was excellent, the crew couldn’t do enough for us. We stopped at an island on the way where we took photo’s of the locals, look at the one with the two small children together, gorgeous!
Arrived in Bagan just as the sun was setting. We got a taxi to our hotel (Ananta Hotel) which cost about £4 (8,000 kyat) it was only a short distance but hey ho, the joys of tourism.
Unpacked and settled in, the hotel is lovely and the staff are very attentive. Decided to eat in the hotel, very nice but hardly any other guests so lots of staff looking after us.
Day 13 - 7/2/18
Hotel have bikes so we grabbed a couple and bikes and spent the day cycling around the temples and pagodas, stunning... ate at Sanon (also fab). J ordered us cocktails!
Day 14 - 8/2/18
Hired an e-bike for about £2.50 (decided push biking in hot sun was hard work yesterday and we could cover more ground), spent another day looking around all the temples and pagodas. There are approx 3,000 across 75 sq kilometres! Ate at Weather-spoons but not as in the U.K. pub version thankfully.
Day 15 - 9/2/18
Travelling to Inle Lake via shared minibus... being collected at 7.30am.
