Remains of Saint Francesca Romana
Day 5:. The Conference Begins.
This afternoon marks Opening Ceremonies for RIMUN 2019. However, we were able to get in a bit more sightseeing before we headed off to work. Visited the Colosseum and Roman Forum this morning. Saw the place where Ceasar was murdered and entered a church that had the remains of Saint Francesca Romana beneath it's altar. In the afternoon, we headed to the Italian Parliament for Opening Ceremonies. We listened to 2 CEO's of non-profit organizations representing renewable energy. The delegate ambassadors also gave their opening speeches and we were off to enjoy the evening. While walking the city at night we happened across a great restaurant where we enjoyed a wonderful outdoor dinner and then the local Steeler Bar and the Parthenon. Another full day.
