20 minute drive and we are in Longreach .. home of Qantas ✈️
Stayed in a massive park .. no grassy sites out here ! First night we did a sunset cruise down Thomson River (no p in their river!) with a campfire cooked dinner and show after. Great sunset, dinner was yummo dining under the stars and the show was full of outback stories and country bumpkin tunes (with ABBA filling in the gaps!)
Next day we jetted off to Qantas museum. Tour included 747 and 707 jets and learning all their secrets. Saw black box and where pilots sleep.. you don’t realise how big these are until you stand under one ! Really interesting tour. Dinner was at the Woolshed pub attached to park with a roastie!
