Snæfellsjökull-Nationalpark

Island, 18. July 2019

Die „Top of the Diamond“ Tour: This spectacular sightseeing excursion takes about 3 hours. We depart from Grundarfjörður and drive to the root of the glacier, that is a beautiful historical path on the north sight of the peninsula. Snowcat will then take you higher up on the glacier, Snæfellsjökull.
The glacier rises 1446 meters above sea level. The mountain is one of the most famous sites in Iceland, primarily due to Jules Verne’s novel “Journey to the Center of the Earth”, in which an entrance to a passage leading to the center of the earth is found on Snæfellsjökull.
This glacier has a mystical force of nature and is one of the eight points of power in the world.
These are always fascinating excursions with amazing view.
It is important for travelers to realize that views from the glacier are naturally dependent upon local weather conditions at the given moment.
It is very important to bundle up in warm clothes, good shoes, hat and gloves.
Due to varying weather conditions in the area, we reserve the right to cancel the trip on short notice.“
