Humahuaca is the biggest town in the Quebrada, but it's still a nice place to stroll through the streets and visit the small white church. The real highlight however is hidden up in the mountains and is only accessible via 4wheel car. Don't forget your jumper - it gets fresh on +4000mts altitude!

Serranías del Hornocal - 14 color mountains

On 4300m you get a perfect view of the mountains of 14 colors. This mountains are really unique in the world according their beauty and size. To get there, you either need to have your own 4-wheel-car (don't go up with a corsa) or hire a driver with a 4-wheel-drive in Humahuaca. Because the tourist busses can't drive on this road and there is no public transport, it has remainded a less crowded and kind of hidden place until now.

Perfectly hidden: vicuñas, the wild relatives of the lamas.
Our lovely driver Ignacio who took us up with his 4wheel car turned out to also be a very good guide :)
