BRISBANE
Today afternoon, we arrived at Brisbane airport. We took a 15-minute taxi ride to the Emporium Hotel South Bank. The hotel has a beautiful view of the Brisbane River.
On the first two days in Brisbane, we stayed in the hotel most of the time because unfortunately it was raining.
Today, on the third day we had tickets for the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary. It is the oldest and largest koala sanctuary of its kind in the world. There we fed koalas and took many pictures with them in our arms. After that we had lunch on site with a view of the cute koalas. In the evening we walked 5 minutes from the hotel to the Fairy trees Brisbane. These are tall trees in Brisbane hung with hundreds of fairy lights. It looked so beautiful in the dark. There was a restaurant nearby where we ate dinner.
Today, on the 4th day in Brisbane, we woke up early and drove with a cap to „Brisbane Whale Watching “.
We arrived at 8 am. After we got a little instruction on how to deal with the whales, we got on a big Yacht. We drove out until after an hour we finally saw the first whale. Then it became more and more. They accompanied us for a few hours. At 6 pm the boat docked back in port. At 7 pm we arrived at our hotel. It was a nice experience to see the whales and dolphins up close. We recommend this to anyone traveling to Australia or even living there. Unfortunately, we had to pack our bags that same evening because we were going to our next stop the next morning.

Whale watching
The highlight in Brisbane was "whale watching", because it was so exciting and nice to be able to see the whales and dolphins so close. And also, during the tour, you are told a lot about whales and their habitat.

Lone Pine Koala Santuary
Meet the cutest animals in Australia at the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary. In order to be allowed to carry a koala, you usually have to queue a little longer. But it's worth it.
