GOLD COAST
This morning, we took the train to Gold Coast. We drove a total of 2 hours. We arrived at our hotel at noon. It is the luxury hotel "JW Marriott Gold Coast Resort & Spa". With delicious food, ocean views, large pools and spa, this is one of the best hotels on the gold coast. We spent the rest of the day at the spa and pool.
Today, on our first day in Gold Coast, we took a 15-minute taxi ride from our hotel to Slide Tower, Australia's largest water park. We slid down almost all the water slides there. It was a lot of fun, but unfortunately the queues were very long. You had to wait about half an hour for each water slide. But it was worth it. We recommend that especially to children and teenagers. After the water park we drove back to the hotel. We ate dinner at Misono. Misono is one of the largest teppanyaki restaurants in Gold Coast. The restaurant is part of the hotel. It offers an outdoor terrace as well as an intimate Izakaya and live sushi table.
Today we slept in for a long time. After a delicious breakfast at the hotel, we walked to the famous Surfers Paradise Beach, which was right in front of our hotel. There a few of us rented a surfboard and the rest lay on the beach and sunbathed with a delicious drink in hand. At noon, it was too hot and we sat down in a small cafe. The cafe was called "26 & Sunny" and had delicious sandwiches, acai bowles and the best burgers. After that, we went to the beach for a bit before walking back to the hotel. At the hotel we chilled by the pool and in the room until we went to dinner, although we were still a bit full from lunch.
Today was already the fourth day in gold coast. After breakfast we drove to Warner Bros Movie World. As soon as we arrived the "star parade" started. There we met Bugs bunny, Batman and many more. Later we even took a group photo with Tom and Jerry. The park is huge and had something for all of us. From huge and exciting roller coasters to 4D cinemas with short films. Our favorite roller coaster was the "Superman Escape". The adventure park also offers several dining options. We decided to eat at the Wild West Roadhouse in the afternoon. There we had delicious burgers and salads.
Today we had something very exciting planned. Something not everyone would dare. Today we wanted to do parasailing. Already at breakfast we couldn't talk about anything else. After breakfast we packed a few things and headed to the beach. There was an instructor waiting at a boat. He explained a few things to us and gave a few safety tips. Then it finally started. We were all given life jackets while only two of us were tied to the umbrella. While two of us went parasailing the others watched from the boat. Then we took turns. The view from up there was incredible. You could see so far out. When the boat dropped us off again after about 2 hours, it was just after 1 pm. So, we decided to chill at the beach for the rest of the day. In the afternoon we were all so knocked out that we couldn't even go out to eat. So, the room service brought us something to the room.
This morning, at around 5 am, we quickly packed our suitcases. Because our flight from Brisbane Airport back to Berlin was at 9 am.
The flight was okay because there wasn't much turbulence, but still incredibly long. For me, it was the best vacation I've ever had.

JW Marriott Gold Coast Resort & Spa
The "JW Marriott" was a very nice and large hotel with delicious food, ocean views, large pools and a spa. It costs a bit much but it's definitely worth it.

Warner Bros Movie World
The park is great and offers many different roller coasters and carousels. There are also great little cafes and restaurants. Although many adults also have fun there, we recommend it more to children and teenagers.
