Arrive into KL at around 8am, eventually find our driver and travel for 45 mins to our favourite hotel, Hotel Majestic. We manage to check in early by upgrading to a suite, which turns out to be bigger than our house and then we sleep on and off until around 4. Happy hour commences in our favourite Colonial bar at 5 so we both get up, shower, shake off the jetlag and head down for something to take our minds off our various ills. James quickly finds a local to play snooker with and I commence work on my 2025 calendar whilst enjoying a cocktail or two. We decide to stay for the duration of happy hour (3 hours in this case) and order some food from the restaurant to eat in the bar so that neither cocktail drinking or snooker playing gets disrupted. Off to bed by around 9.30, as old farts with jet-lag are prone to do.
