Checked into a new hostel this morning so that I could have a private room for 2 days - very much needed after you feel as though your social battery is running out. I took myself out for breakfast and a coffee and then walked to collect my laundry through the old town streets - they are so pretty!
I then found a massage place and had a facial, it was really good and they give you a head massage too. I felt very relaxed after this. Defo needed after feeling a bit anxious the night before
I then found a group of people who were going to the Wat Pra That Temple for sunset. We shared a cab there and climbed these mountains of stairs to get to the view point - it was worth it!
This cute doggy was guarding the temple, making sure everyone was taking their shoes off before going in!
The sunset views were worth it - you can see the whole of Chiang Mai, it was a bit cloudy I think due to the pollution in the air but you can still see it clearly
We then got the shared cab back to the North Gate Jazz bar. It was so cool in there and the music was really good but it was the smallest place I’ve ever been to! People were sat on the floor just to see them, apparently it’s like this 7 days a week, we were lucky to get seats!
I left the jazz bar after about an hour as I was v hungry, I went to a restaurant and had Kho Soi before going to meet Jack & Ellie at Sylivis hostel for some live music. We had some drinks and a dance, it was their last night in chiang mai so I’ll see them tomorrow in Pai!
After the live music, Jack and I went to the night market and he got some food and we got chatting to 2 girls from Hastings who then came out with us to Lanna square. We met 2 guys from Bournemouth, 2 from Sweden and another girl. We played beer pong and I won against 2 others on my own team!!!
