Checking out of Thailand :(. Crossing the boarder to Laos this morning and then heading to the 2 day slow boat to Luang Prabang

First visa on arrival experience today. It took forever, and was very disorganised, the boarder people were having their breakfast whilst trying to do everyone’s visa acceptances. We then had to wait to get our passports back & they literally just held them up in a crowd lol anyone coulda taken them

Slow boat day 1! Been so excited for this & it was so fun! Ellie was on our boat too! Esha and I sat with two older guys from Scotland and Amsterdam and we learnt how to play Chinese patience card game, I love it!! We sang happy bday to another Scot on the boat too. Everyone was good vibes :)

We stopped off at an authentic Laos village, and they had a farm of puppies, pigs, ducklings - all sorts. The kids were really sweet too and when we got off the boat our tour lady helped them say ‘hello and welcome to our village’ in English. We walked around and said sabaidi to them all

We arrived at our luxury hotel. Me Esha and Ellie are all in the same one :). It is so nice here and the views are so good! We had a tea upon arrival and our rooms are so nice and comfy although lots of mosquitos here. We went out for some dinner with a group from the boat and we met a Norwegian gal

I had chicken noodles for dinner and a cucumber salad. We got a lift back to our hotel and going to get an early night before our day 2 of the slow boat tomorrow morning at 6.45am!
