A 15 hour travel day today which realistically only took 10 hours! I left Koh Sdach at 8am and got a ferry to mainland and then a car to Phnom Penh. I arrived in the capital, 3 hours than earlier than expected and managed to get on the next bus leaving to Siem reap

Met a Cambodian man on this journey with his daughter. He spoke really good English and encouraged his daughter to speak to me as he wanted her to learn English too. He bought some local fruit at one of the stops and gave me some. A really sweet man. Did a lot of thinking on this journey

Seeing the floating villages on my way here made me think about all the things we have at home and how grateful I am. A good reflection. Arrived at the hostel at 8pm and it’s amazing! Had a local dish beef lok lak for dinner, it was SO good! The best Khmer food I’ve had so far. Early rise tomorrow
