I think this is the first day I’ve thought I just wanna be at home. I left koh sdach and made my way to shianoukville and went straight to a dentist as nothing was helping. He had a look and said I need root canal on my dodgy tooth and maybe a wisdom tooth out. I got a sleeper but I didn’t get any sleep because I had to share with someone and I was in agony. Omg it was awful. I diverted my route to siem reap and missed Battambang because everyone has said it’s meh and also I just need somewhere with a good dentist and siem reap is a good place to go. My bus from Battambang was only a fiver and I don’t think I payed for the hostel in Battambang, only a deposit but it still ain’t a lot so that’s fine.
I went straight to the dentist at 8am and he checked and said there’s no pain from the bottom tooth so best to leave it and that the pain could be from the wisdom tooth but also radiating from the top tooth. He wa like you need root canal on that so he could do it there and then so I just did it. I gotta say it wasn’t pleasant. And I got to see the three nerves and they was grey so he said they was dying which explains the pain. I’m hoping this gets rid of the swelling and throbbing but omg it was not nice, once it was done ans he was putting the tooth back in that even still hurt and there was no nerves there! and he was good. I’m sitting having a smoothie as I’m light headed as fuck with the shakes and can’t take my pain meds without food. It took an HOUR AND A HALF. I think I’d rather no teeth. And I can get you that the bottom teeth and jaw will still hurt coz they do now, they don’t feel like they’ve eased at all.
The rep from my last hostel somehow found me on insta and messaged to see if I was ok which is lovely because he kept trying to get me to join in but I said I’m just chilling in my room coz I have a toothache and cba. What a nice guy! Although after he was like leave a review so not that nice.
I had a nap coz I kid actually sleep with the painkillers then went to have my crown made and a temp one put on. Also not that pleasant. I then ate the first time in 24 hours and then went to the hostel,took all my drugs and slept. I’m glad I had the codine because even though the top aches and is easing, my bottom teeth still ache allll the way to my front teeth which woke me up in the night 😭 so is definitely my wisdom tooth causing agg as well which is what I originally thought it was a week ago when my jaw and teeth started to ache. You coulddnt write this shit how do these tings happen at once on the same side?? So yeah, I’ll need that dentist appointment about my wishdon tooth when I’m back. Great. Hopefully that’s less dramatic than a root canal if it’s just getting removed though. Oh I also got my nails done to make myself feel better. They’re pretty :)
