Isla Grande - Chiloés main island - is the second largest island of the continent, and tourism is just starting to discover this beautiful raw gem. Walk along wild and stormy coasts, see colorful houses on wooden piles, hike in rarely discovered national parcs or visit some of Chiloés willful colored wooden churches. Oh, and the fresh seafood... We stayed here for a couple of days, and found it pretty hard to leave. It would be our perfect place to calm down and escape the hectic of city life for a couple of days - if it wasn't that far from home...

Muelle de las almas
It's not easy to get here but it's worth the effort! This place is pure magic! An artist build this pier a couple of years ago with a view to the roaring pacific ocean and lots of animals like sea lions an cormorans.
To get here you have to take a 7 km ride by bike (or for the lazy ones by car) over a dirt road, then get a key to this property from Don Orlando and then take a further 30 min walk over a sharp pasture.
