The Lakshman crew invited us to visit a quiet important party in Raipur which is happening only once a year. In Germany we´d call it a „Jahrmarkt“ where people from all villages around celebrate. Men of each village do a traditional dance and support their hometown. We were the only western people in whole Raipur, so all eyes were on us while we were watching the dances. Especially in small villages like Raipur one could feel how men and women are separated in normal life, and what a big way there´s still to go for equality of both gender. On our way back from the dances we crossed a big space where the chairman of Raipur and other important people where standing and watching the crowd. Seeing us walking by we were invited to participate in their celebrations. As our holi experience in Delhi was a little disappointing we now were colored all over by the people surrounding us. It was big honor and we had lots of fun. Thanks to Raipur for this nice experience!
