Wednesday 1st March
We’re leaving Coron by boat, doing a three day island hopping trip from Coron to El Nido.
We head to Coron ferry port to meet out boat. We head off to Culion Island, but stop off at several places for swimming and snorkelling which is fabulous. At Culion we stay the night on the beach, in a no thrills hut, the toilet shower is a little walk away. The crew are amazing, catering for us and looking after us brilliantly.
Thursday 2nd March
After breakfast, which is surprising good, given that they’ve had to lug everything from the boat to the beach hut to cook it for us. We’re heading to Linapacan Island, it’s more of the same, stopping off at remote places on the way to snorkel or walk a remote beach. It’s truly stunning and the nicest part of the Philippines that we have been to so far. Our fellow travellers are all nice, a few eclectics amongst the bunch but everyone gets on really well. We have another overnight stay on Linapacan Island, this time our room is in an open, beach hut dorm. We dine out in an open pavilion / beach hut thingie. Again the crew do an amazing job with the food.
Friday 3rd March
Sleep pretty well despite being in a dorm on the beach and then we are heading to El Nido. It’s been an amazing trip, we could have caught a ferry from Coron to El Nido which would have taken 5 hours but this has been much more fun, met some lovely people and had a really good time.
