Barcelona

Spain, 08. September 2018
Holá

We left Nice and was very sad to say goodbye to the French Riviera. I have loved every second of being here.

There was some tense moments when we landed and headed to baggage claim. Michael kept saying the bags were lost and remembering the memories from their last mishap they had with Vueling. It was adding fuel to the fire for Matt who was counting down the seconds to the football game. In saying that, there was a plane who was missing their luggage and waiting at the customer service area.

We hit the ground running and dropped our bags off at the hotel in one of the rooms and headed to the sports bar who were showing the eagles vs collingwood game. Mike had pre-booked a table at the bar. Thankfully the Eagles won so then the rest of the day was not ruined. Woohoo!

We went back to the hotel to meet up with Elisa and Huby who had just landed. Sadly they missed the game as their plane was delayed. Once everyone was refreshed we decide to wonder around Barcelona and La Rambla. We are just off La Rambla in the best spot. A good finding.

We had dinner in the gothic quarter for tapas and paella. The rest of the gang were tired and headed back to the hotel. Matt and I went venturing more into the gothic quarter and La Rambla. It is such a lively area and doesn’t stop day or night. We found some nice night markets but they were starting to pack up so didn’t get the full experience.

It is really humid and warm in Barcelona. I will be tanned by the end of this trip.

Adiós.
