Jodhpur

Jodhpur
We arrived in Jodhpur by train at night coming from Jaipur. Traveling in class AC1 is much more comfortable than going in a 2nd Sleeper berth from Delhi to Jaipur.
We’re lucky to stay in the Castle View home stay, a very nice guesthouse with am impressive view from the roof top restaurant. The building is a 500 year old haveli and the familyhouse of the owner Amit and his brother who are running the guesthouse. They are really nice and funny guys with the motto: "There’s no problem there always is a solution“ - they arrange everything you want in their very own way ;)

The fort in Jodhpur is a must and the pattern work on the facades is awesome, but the best experience at the fort is the amazing view at the blue houses of Jodhpur. It reminds on a patchwork of grey and blue surfaces in an cubistic artwork.

A great and very new experience was the dinner at the Gipsy Dining Hall, a thali restaurant in the new part of the city. We never had an „unfixed“ thali before. … and washing hands at the table after having dinner was unforgettable.
