Woke up around 10am and took myself out for a coffee. Found a little Vietnamese stall and the coffee was so nice and only 94p! I then went to have my feet scrubbed. So needed after all the walking in Laos

The lady was really good and got so much hard skin off. She used the cheese grater😂. I then had a foot massage and an exfoliation on my legs and a massage. So relaxing!

Wanted to buy a cap so quickly stopped off at the market and found a lovely little Vietnamese lady who had a stall and found me the exact hat I wanted through all the stalls. We chatted for a while about her life in Vietnam, interesting lady. I will probs go back to her for another cap!

New cap dropped

Everything was really tiny so I felt like I couldn’t get in anything. This was a trap door they used and when someone stepped on it they would fall into the spikes. There was loads of different traps that were set up but it made it easier for the Americans to find out where they were underneath

An example of the caves they would crawl down. They would then make tiny holes through these rocks for air ventilation. They dug so far down they had a water supply and also had a kitchen and meeting rooms under there

This is as far as I went into the tunnel - about 20 meters 😭. Some of the boys in our group went the full 120 meters, they had to crawl using their elbows to get through it. They also came out absolutely sweating buckets! It’s amazing how the Vietnamese did this daily

We didn’t get back until 8pm, it was a long day. I went out for dinner with a Dutch boy I met on the tour. We went to this locals bar and we were the only foreigners in there but they loved it. They gave me free spring rolls bcos I shared their page on FB. FaceTimed Jake and then Anna when I got bac
