Exploring Ho Chi Minh City today! Met a girl called Alyssa through Jack this morning over coffee and then me and her decided to explore. We went to the Saigon Post Office, Cafe Apartments and Book Street
Book street was so cute and we had a browse round. A random selection of books, Steven Gerrad’s autobiography and Harry Potter but in Vietnamese
Cafe apartments is cool & has loads of different cafes and restaurants inside. We chose a Vietnamese place and the food was soo good, I had pork with noodles and salad
The restaurant we went in had notes all over the walls from all over the world 🌎
We then went to Ben Thamn market and I bought an Arsenal shirt and another hat for £12. Managed to bargain the lady down from 1.2million dong (£40) to 400k (£10) for the Arsenal shirt
Went to a rooftop bar and had a beer and then it started to rain! First bit of rain since being out here
We also found an Australian bar called Jackaroo that went to and got chatting to the lady behind the bar who has given us some good food recommendations. We also decided that we both find the American accent annoying hahaha. Got chatting to some guy from Florida who was so drunk (at 5.30pm)
Got a grab bike home and then we went out straight to the rooftop bar and got chatting to more Americans. We then went on the hostel’s pub crawl which was fun. Went to the equivalent of 7/11 and got some noodles at 2am before bed :)
